40 years of "Night of the Living Dead"

It is one of the mythical titles of horror and fantasy cinema. "The Night of the Living Dead", by George A. Romero, revolutionized the genre four decades ago, and that is why Sitges has paid tribute to it on this anniversary.

One of the co-writers of the film, John Russo, has been in charge of receiving this Friday the festival's tribute. A tribute, by the way, that he has shared with part of the original film crew that has also gathered in Sitges.

The great absence has starred her George A. Rosemary, which is still in full action, and now filming a zombie film in Toronto. Russo has been the one who has made the presentation of the film, which has been screened in its original format. Together with him, Judith O'Dea, one of the leading actresses of the film.

PROTESTS FOR THE VERSION
Shortly after the start of the screening of the film, one of the anecdotes of the day took place. Viewers have started to protest that the dubbed version was being shown and not the original with subtitles. Faced with the protests, the projection has continued in English.

The tribute will be completed with two more screenings of the film, in addition to a documentary and an original parade of zombies starring the original components of the film.

And since the best we can do is see a fragment, here is the trailer for the mythical Romero movie.
