30 hopefuls for the Oscar for best picture 2015 (2/5)

B

More than six months until the gala of the Oscar but the nomination films are beginning to play.

Few of these films have been screened in a contest such as Berlin o Cannes , but it does not seem necessary to know why films will choose quite predictable academics, although there is still time for some other surprise film, we will wait for other great festivals such as the Venice Film Festival or  Toronto Film Festival to see if any more films can be added to this list.

«Big Eyes"To Tim Burton: One of this year's big contenders for the best picture Oscar is Tim Burton's new film "Big Eyes." Believe it or not, none of his films has been nominated for an Oscar for best picture, something strange since up to a dozen films have been nominated for some category of the Academy Awards. This could be the year the filmmaker finally wins over the academics.

«B"To Richard Linklater: Richard Linklater was one of those who rang, and a lot, in the last season of awards, although finally his film "Before Midnight" did not get the nomination for best picture. This year, and after a triumphant passage through the Berlinale where he won the award for best director, the filmmaker could be present in the category of best film at the Oscars with "Boyhood."

Carol

«Carol"To Todd HaynesAnother of the directors who have been several times with their films at the Oscars without ever competing for the best picture award is Todd Haynes. With "Carol" he could aspire for the top accolade at the Academy Awards for the first time.

«fury"To David Ayer: One of those who could go for the first time with a film to the Oscars is David Ayer, who was already in the 2012 awards season with "End of Watch", but who finally had to settle for going to the Independents Spirit Awards and the Critics Choice Awards. "Fury" is the great bet of the war genre for this year.

«The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby"To Ned benson: The promising "The Disapearance of Eleanor Rigby", despite suffering poor distribution and premiering at Cannes as a single film what Ned Benson conceived as two, could finally aspire to the Oscars. If so, the filmmaker would arrive at the Academy Awards with what is his first film.

«It"To Jean-Marc Vallée: A film that must be taken into account is "Wild" by Jean-Marc Vallée, last year the filmmaker's previous film was the big surprise at the Oscars, "Dallas Buyers Club got seven nominations, including best picture and dug getting three statuettes.
