"Eclectic and energetic, the band's new work is the most dazzling and diverse in decades. Recorded between Santa Barbara and New York, Depeche Mode has reverted to using its classic recording equipment, from analog synthesizers and drum machines, to achieve the 'retro-futuristic' arrangements heard on the record.
