In 2016 preparations begin for "Aquaman"

As more details about the next shoot of "Aquaman" become known, it seems that will be shot in Australia. Preparations are ready to start pre-production before Christmas this year 2016.

Although it is not official, everything suggests that filming will take place at the Village Roadshow studios on Queensland's Gold Coast.

The reason that filming has to be transferred to these studios is that the production company has the largest water tank ever made for the cinema. Those who have seen it say that it is immense and the possibilities it offers are many.

In addition to these facilities, Village Roadshow Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment have a long-time film production association. However, since filming will take place in Australia, it is rumored that in addition to action there will be drama.

After his cameos in "Batman and Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League", the Aquaman that Jason Momoa will play will be more aggressive than everyone expects of this marine superhero. The film will be shot by Jamez Wan, and tells the adventures of the Aquatic King of Atlantis, facing his main enemy: Black Manta.

The tape has planned its premiere in the US for July 27, 2018, without yet having a date in Spain.

The film is based on the characters that appear in comics published by DC Entertainment and in its cast will be Jason Momoa (known for his participation in "Game of Thrones"), putting a face to the main character, Amber Heard (we remember her in "The Danish Girl"), in the role of Mera, and Willem Dafoe (what we have seen in "Spider-Man") playing Vulgo.

The script of the film is written by Will Beall, known for the storylines of "Gangster Squad" and "Elite Squad."
