S'han anunciat els nominats d'aquest any per als MTV Movie Awards 2014, «El llop de Wall Street»i«American Hustle» les favorites.
La pel·lícula de Martin Scorsese aconsegueix vuit nominacions, les mateixes que aconsegueix la de David O. Russell, dues de les grans perdedores d'aquesta darrera edició dels Premis de l'Acadèmia en marxar de buit de la gala.
Leonardo DiCaprio aconsegueix fins a cinc nominacions en aquesta edició dels MTV Awards, millor actor, millor parella, millor moment musical i millor moment #WTF i millor interpretació sense samarreta.
Els guanyadors de l'Oscar Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto y Lupita Nyong'o reben nominació, però no Cate Blanchett.
