Bastantes sorpresas este año tras el anuncio de las nominaciones de los Premios de la Academia de Hollywood.
La primera de ellas es que «American Sniper» recibe hasta seis nominaciones incluyendo mejor dirección y se convierte en una de las favoritas de este año para los Oscar.
Sorprende ver entre las nominadas a mejor película a «Selma«, cinta que solo consigue dos candidaturas, ésta y la de mejor canción.
Como era de esperar «The Grand Budapest» y «Birdman» con nueve candidaturas cada una, «The Imitation Game» con ocho y «Boyhood» con seis, todas ellas con nominaciones tanto en mejor película y mejor dirección, se iban a confirmar como las grandes favoritas.
El quinteto de realizadores nominados lo completa Bennett Miller por «Foxcatcher«, cinta que consigue hasta nominaciones e incomprensiblemente se queda fuera de mejor película.
En las categorías interpretativas se cuela Bradley Cooper, dejando fuera a Jake Gyllenhaal, Marion Cotillard le gana la partida a Jennifer Aniston, Rosamund Pike consigue la única nominación para «Gone Girl» y Laura Dern recibe la nominación en actriz de reparto.
Ausencias de «The Lego Movie» en película de animación, «Force Majeure» en mejor película de habla no inglesa y «Life Itself» en mejor documental.
