«Birdman» de Alejandro González Iñarritu es la gran favorita a los Premios de la Crítica de Washington de este año con hasta 11 nominaciones, incluyendo mejor película y mejor dirección.
Su gran rival parece ser otra d ellas grandes favoritas a los Oscar, «Boyhood» de Richard Linklater consigue ocho candidaturas, también optando a mejor película y mejor dirección.
El resto de películas que consiguen nominaciones en mejor película y mejor dirección son «Gone Girl» que opta a seis galardones y «Selma» y «Whiplash» que optan a cinco.
«The Grand Budapest Hotel» e «Interstellar» consiguen también cinco nominaciones, aunque se quedan fuera de las categorías principales.
