The Marvel Universe is expanding at the speed of light. Since Phase 3 began, the House of Ideas has done nothing but confirm future film projects very ambitious. One of them is the one that concerns us in this post, 'Thor: Ragnarok', a film directed by Taika Waititi, in which as confirmed a few months ago will appear Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). But under what circumstances? What will be the connection between the two characters? Will we see something of the Planet Hulk?
On the web portal of JoBlo It was revealed how both characters will intersect in the feature film, and it was confirmed that part of the film will be based on the Planet Hulk comic. In the comic, Hulk, during the events of the Civil War on Earth, was on the planet Sakaar, where he found opponents with strength similar to his own, since he passed through a barrier that absorbed vitality. Although at first he was nothing more than a slave, little by little he became much more until he overthrew the Red King.
This plot makes some sense if we relate it to the events of 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron'. Recall that after the fight against the smart robot in Sokovia Hulk fled with a jet into space and nothing more has been heard from him to date. Has he fled to Sakaar?
In any case, we know that Hulk will appear on a different planet, where we will see gladiator battles directed by the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) in which the Jade Colossus will participate with armor and different unknown weapons. Apparently the Grandmaster collects strange beasts like the Hulk to make them fight and entertain himself. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will find his friend on this planet. The reason is unknown.
Although the story of 'Thor: Ragnarok' will focus on the Son of Odin and his fight to save Asgard, it is highly confirmed that we will see a lot of the Hulk in it, and that he will be much more than a simple companion of Thor in this intergalactic adventure.
Remember that neither of the two characters has appeared in 'Civil War', probably because with either of them the sides would have been too unbalanced considering that both the Scarlet Witch and the Vision still do not know even one percent of their abilities and powers. However, its absence makes us think that surely something else is happening beyond Earth.
It is also said that Thor will have his head partially shaved and that Valkyire (Tessa Thompson) will appear with war paint on his face. Both characters must find an artifact to stop Ragnarok.
On the other hand we know that Whole (Cate Blanchett) will be the main villain as we could see in a concept art in which the character appeared on his back in front of an army. Undoubtedly, and using Mark Ruffalo's own words about the female character, she will be an evil villain who will make us have a spectacular time! Hela is the Asgardian goddess of death, will she have a relationship with Thanos? This character was in love with Death himself, and in the absence of the character in the UCM, who knows if he will fall in love with her and the events of this film lead us directly to 'Infinity War'.
'Thor: Ragnarok' premieres on November 3, 2017, and among the cast we will also find Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Karl Urban as Skruge.
