With an interval of 8 minutes in between, since the film lasts two and a half hours (more or less), I have seen the film with more than great satisfaction «Watchmen«. An adaptation (of the many that go around today) of a comic of great repercussion in the USA.
The film, posed under a concept of total realism in the image, breaks with the payroll only as far as the "heroes" and villains are concerned. Narrating a particular moment in the history of the protagonists, he takes the temporal factor, and the social one as determinants of a disuse, a wasted time, an "aging" of the being, until discovering that the essence never mocks.
Raising profound issues, being as human, and as essential, is presented under the most blatant premises at times, and more simplistic at others. Like few of the films that can be seen today, it touches on subjects of high human commitment, with the rawness that defines the comic. The color of the blood is recorded in the memory, as well as the mutilations that are part of the spectacular poetry that distinguishes the film.
I have been delighted with what I saw, as well as being able to say, loudly and with the height that it implies, that it is close to the sublime in concept, although visually it does not reach it. And it is that as usually happens in this type of super productions, there is always something left over. But I can forgive the excesses, the excesses. Recommendable? Of course, dear readers.
