Marc Almond Velvet Trail

A few weeks ago the iconic British singer Marc almond announced the release of their next album, which will be titled 'The Velvet Trail'. Beyond the well-known singer affirming in 2010 that 'Variete' could be his last studio work with songs composed by him, it has been the English producer and composer Chris Braide who has changed his mind after sending Almond three songs that wrote especially for him.

With these three instrumentals by Chris braide came 'Minotaur', a dramatic song about rage and animal passions, 'Scar', a sentimental 'torch song' about disappointment in love, and 'Winter Sun', a melancholic composition about lost love. In a recent interview Almond stated about the new job: “Some time ago I felt that the muse of composition had left me, possibly forever. Then an email came in with three instrumental tracks (from Braide). They gave me goose bumps. I was immensely impressed ".

Almond added in this regard: “Chris had a full understanding of the chord changes that I loved, of the sounds that I loved, songs in minor tones with darks and great dramatic pianos and strings. I sat down to write, I was totally excited and inspired ". On March 9, Almond's new album will go on sale through the Cherry Red Records label. 'The Velvet Trail' It will be available on CD digipack, limited edition CD + DVD for the UK, and limited edition double vinyl with two previously unreleased tracks as bonus bonus tracks.
