Van Halen's guitarist denounces Nike

Eddie Van Halen - Nike

… For the alleged theft of his guitar design.
Eddie Van Halen has initiated legal actions against this gigantic sports corporation, due to the fact that the design of one of its latest releases presents'a lot of similarity'with the color of one of his guitars.

The rocker claims to have recorded the iconic red, white and black striped pattern, characteristic of his'frankenstrat'.
On the demand, Eddie accuses the company of 'cause irreparable damage'to its design and requires two things: financial compensation - obviously - and the seizure - destruction of all shoes that have this style.

Nike has responded to the accusation as follows:
"The Dunk model does not bear substantial similarities to any of Van Halen's designs, and the company has made no reference to his name or image in the promotional campaign associated with the shoe.".

What surely many people do not know, is that Eddie has his own line of sneakers, EVH Shoes, and that at the beginning of this year included the model 'frankenstrat'among its products ...
