Underworld will act as musical directors of the ceremony of inauguration of the London Olympics, which will take place this afternoon. The British duo has prepared for the occasion a work which they have entitled "Isle of Wonder: Music for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games" and which will be released on August 6 in stores via Decca / Universal.
And Underworld is not the only great British electronic name that has prepared music for these Olympics: The Chemical Brothers have composed "Theme for Velodrome", a track inspired by the cycling event that you can listen to below.
