U2: the new album won't be out until 2012

Bad news for followers of U2- The band has delayed their new studio album until next year - The Irish were working with Danger Mouse and the producer RedOne on his new album, but now the bass player Adam Clayton He has commented that the meetings with him have not been very fruitful.

«We had to have a meeting and see on the agenda if we had free time to work on the album with him and it turns out that we couldn't. We are a bit wrong, but to be honest, it is the most sensible decision"Clayton told Rolling Stone magazine. And he continued with that «We have to focus on what we do best, and Danger Mouse is closer to that, but it seems that the thing with RedOne does not quite fit«.

Also, the Irish worked with the French DJ David Guetta in this work that would be titled 'Songs of Ascent '. Some of the songs to be included are "Mercy", "Every Breaking Wave", "Boy Falls from the Sky" and "Turn off the Dark" (from the musical 'Spider Man').
