Anna Castillo will be the daughter of Lola Dueñas in 'Journey around a mother's room', in what will be the debut feature of the short filmmaker Celia Rico Clavellino.
The filming of this film will begin in March 2017. The film will be an introspective journey on the fears and hopes of two women of different generations who are united by a very strong, but enormously fragile bond.
In his argument, Leonor (Anna Castillo) and her mother, Estrella (Lola Dueñas), live together in a small southern town. Both protect and take care of themselves as best they know how, even when they face a new stage of life in which their tranquility is greatly disturbed.
This film, Rico Clavellino's debut, is produced by Amorós Producciones, and has the collaboration of TVE and ICAA.
The script, written by the director herself, was eBequeathed by the Berlin Film Festival to participate in the Script Station of the Berlinale Talents, where ten feature film projects by young talents from all over the world participate each year.
In this event in 2015 this story was selected, along with eleven other scripts from around the world to be part of a project development program. Now is the time to access the big screen.
Journey Around a Mother's Room, by Celia Rico Clavellino
The film will be divided into two chapters with a different character each. For Leonor, the time has come to leave home, although she is unable to leave her mother alone. Estrella, the mother, does not want her to go away, but neither does she dare to keep her by her side.
Winter is coming and both will have to undertake a trip around their room to stop being mother and daughter and discover who they are separately.
