Tom Morello: "Trent Reznor made us come out of anonymity"

Street sweeper

A surprising invitation from Trent reznor, leader of the Nine Inch Nails, it ended in that Street Sweeper Social Club -the new group formed by Tom morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Nightwatchman) Y Boots Riley (The Coupe) - had a way out somewhat early.

"We were finishing mixing our album and suddenly Trent called and said, 'hey, do you want to join the NIN and Jane's Addiction tour?' ... then all of a sudden the slow recording process became something like 'we have to finish! all this immediately!… well we have to start rehearsing for the tour tomorrow '…”, He commented on the matter Tom morello.

The project Street Sweeper Social Club started in the 2007, after Morello y Riley did various performances together, including various charity acts and tours of the Nightwatchman that the latter opened ...

"When Audioslave broke up, we had dinner together and I made him a proposal that he couldn't refuse. I said, 'I have a group… it's called Street Sweeper Social Club… it has a lot of social criticism.' Then I gave him a tape of 24 song ideas and bars and suggested that he write about them. He had no chance to refuse ... and so far he still hasn't said he accepts. But hey ... so far everything is fine"He added.
