Today would be born Roy Batty. And there would still be a few years to be pursued by one of those hunters who were dedicated to disconnecting replicants. Blade Runner left such a huge mark on our film culture that it is difficult to forget the final speech of this replicant.
The movie went through a very intense shoot. It is worth seeing the documentary that incorporates the collector's edition in which Ridley Scott himself makes clear the difficulties they went through. Not all the obstacles were economic and the adaptation script had several revisions and writers. Fortunately, a masterpiece came out. And it could not be otherwise, the film is timeless and one can get to observe over the years things and details in it that until that moment had passed.

The title has nothing to do with that of the movie. And neither does the tone. The writer of this novel, Philip K. Dicks, had a complex narrative. But the film took on a personality of its own. Let's say that each one in their own way made a masterpiece. And this is something that is rarely repeated in the cinema.
Played by the cult actor Rutger Hauer, the character appears strong enough and cold enough to move us with an important change at the end of the film, in which he exposes his life, the world from which he comes. Among the many anecdotes in the film is the one that the average actor improvised this speech and took almost all the limelight from Harrison Ford. I do not know if this is entirely true but the protagonism is completely true. I think it was even Rutger Hauer's best role.
