His beginnings before becoming a soloistThe very successful Tina Turner was born in Nutbush in 1939, a small town very close to Brownsville, under the name Annie Mae Bullock.
In 1957 and with barely 18 years of age he met Ike Turner, whom he joins on a tour that they would do at that time. At that time the singer performed the choirs with an incredible voice, in fact only two years I deposed Tina step in one jump to be the "star of the show" completely, what's more, from that moment the band changed its name and step to be called Ike Turner & His Kings of Rhythm, and shortly after, he changed his name again, calling himself Ike & Tina Turner. This duo was really formidable and they couldn't stop being successful. Already in 1960 he was breaking sales records with the great song known to all of us “A fool in love”.
It is during that decade that with Phil Spector (excellent producer), they achieve great successes such as “River deep mountain high”.
Years later, in 1971 more precisely, they achieve another smash hit "Proud Mary", as we all remember, a great version of the band Creedence Clearwater Revival.
After these successes, and due to the many mistreatments and aggressiveness of Ike Turner towards Tina, the most excellent singer decides to abandon him, this decision being final and without turning back. (As we all know and we have also seen in the film about Tina's life, she was really suffering a lot of mistreatment from Ike, so this separation has been one of the best decisions that the singer has been able to make in her life) . Today Tina lives happily in Switzerland, very well accompanied by her German boyfriend.
