Kraftwerk are more topical than ever on the occasion of the series of concerts that the German band is carrying out these days at the MoMA in New York, in which they review each night one of the different albums that make up their discography from the "Autobahn" onwards.
Kraftwerk or what remains of them, because it should be remembered that since Florian schneider Leaving the line-up in 2009, the only member of the Düsseldorf golden age that remains is Ralf Hütter (Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz and Stefan Pfaffe complete the line up today).
The fact is that on the occasion of that series of concerts that have been baptized as "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8" Ralf Hutter has given an interview to The New York Times in which he assures that there will be a new album, the first since "Tour De France Soundtracks" (2003) and that it will arrive "soon".
On the other hand, there are not too many novelties in Hütter's artistic approach, which refers to the band in the same terms as if he were doing it to a robotic collective: «Music never ends. Tomorrow begins again. The album is just that, an album, and that's why for us it's quite boring. We are much more interested in the programs we work with. We are operational, constantly updating ourselves. There is a constant reprogramming, and compositions and new concepts that are yet to come ».
