Finally, the project of bringing the story of Castlevania, one of the most legendary videogames of Konami, begins to take shape since at last the person in charge of filming the adaptation has been chosen. This will be the American Sylvain White (with that name who would say it).
But beware that the Castlevania script has been commissioned to Paul WS Anderson, creator of infumable plots like those of Resident Evil or Alien vs. PredatorSo there are no illusions about the story.
The story we know about Castlevania (through the game obviously) is that its protagonist is a noble warrior from the Middle Ages, who leads his army towards a castle that is in the depths of Transylvania, thus trying to escape the armies Turks they fight against. But once inside the castle he will have to face a much more powerful enemy: Dracula (and not a vampire as I have had to read about).
So far nothing is known about the cast that will form Castlevania, although in a few days names will surely begin to come to light. On the other hand, filming is scheduled to start in September or October of this year and the premiere Castlevania is expected by the end of next year 2008.
