The Who: They will receive the John F. Kennedy award

The Who

After a intense presentation across VH1 Rock Honors, this pioneering English band is ready to receive on December 7 the Kennedy Center Honor in the city of Washington, for his immense collaboration with North American culture.

Pete Townshend y Roger Daltrey will receive this award no less than from the hands of Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of the ex-president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. This will be the first time that the Kennedy Center gives this kind of recognition to a band.

Singer Elton John He is the only British musician who has already received this award (he was awarded it in the year 2004).
Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder y Steven Spielberg, are some of the lights that have already taken it home.
