The discs would follow A Hundred Thousands Off (2006) Pussy Cats Starring The Walkmen (2006) and You & me (2008) that once again catapulted them to the top, being rated by the web portal specialized in independent music Pitchfork as "the great sound you've always wanted." In 2010 they presented their penultimate album, Lisbon.

The Walkmen are Hamilton Leithauser (voice, guitar), Paul Maroon (guitar, piano), Walter Martin (organ, bass), Peter Bauer (bass, organ) and Matt Barrick (drums).
