The members of this North American band have already completed three songs of his new album, as revealed by its leader, Julian casablancas.
Recall that the group met at the beginning of this year, something that they had not done since the departure of the First Impressions Of Earth (2006), determined to work on a new production (the fourth) whose launch is expected, in principle, for end of this year.
In an interview for a well-known music magazine, Julian revealed that the new songs have 'a 70's vibe and influences from Thin Lizzy and Elvis Costello":
"… But they also have a very bizarre sound, taken from futuristic music, which we are trying to fine-tune to make it sound good… that is, we are trapped between the 70s and the future.o ".
Meanwhile Ryan gentles, manager of The Strokes, said that despite the three songs that have already been written, they have not yet set foot in the recording studios:
"The recording sessions have not yet been scheduled, as they are a bit far away working on the rhythm and form of the songs, but it will definitely take place in the near future.".
"I would like to tell you that this implies a release of the album before the end of this year, but it is too early to take it for granted.
Be that as it may, the good thing is that work has already started"He added.
