The Spirit

The creator of «Sin City », and of "300", Frank Miller, come back among us with an incredible new proposal. «The Spirit»Is, originally, a comic created by Will Eisner (The same happened with Miller and the recently named films), which has been decided to adapt it to the big screen, with the direction of the same screenwriter and creator, Mr. Miller.

"The Spirit" tells the story of Sirit, in fact, that one night in Central City he receives a call, summoning him to the area facing the docks in the city. There is, involved in a murky affair, an ancient sunken cargo ship, and the city's most feared criminal, Octopus. Both characters fight to the point of exhaustion, and once the fog has lifted, and the mood is calmer, they come across a dead cop, and Spirit strangely alive. And it is that after the fight that occurred, he should have died.

His beloved, surgeon Ellen Dolan, heals him knowing, both of them, that the wounds will have to be stitched up, and quickly. The issue is, why? The only thing that is known is that Octopus is on the run, and that on the night of the fight, they weren't the only ones on the dock. Sand Saref, one of the most wanted jewel thieves in the world, had also been there.

When another dead body appears, Spirit intensifies the search of the criminals, mainly, the jewel thief, who is also chased by Octopus and his henchmen, in order to make a trade. The thing is, Octopus wishes such an exchange, as the jewel that Sand Saref owns will give the evil one the tool to control Central City. But Spirit won't allow it so easily. The problem is that, underneath it, there is a secret that only Octopus knows, and that is why he is still alive.

A film that has a luxurious cast, among which stand out Gabriel Match in the role of Spirit, Samuel Jackson in that of Octopus, Scarlett Johansson in the role of Octopus's assistant and Eva Mendes in that of Sand Saref. At the same time the names of Sarah Paulson, Paz Vega, Jamie King, Eric Balfour, Dan Lauria, Stana katic, Johnny Simmons, Louis Lombardi and Richard Portnow resonate.

A job that I know will not leave us with an unsatisfied expectation, but with a hunger for more.
