The separation of the Smashing Pumpkins

Smashing Pumpkins

Bill corgan announced yesterday that he was about to enter the studios to record a new album of the Smashing Pumpkins without any of his companions.
Jimmy chamberlin, original drummer of this North American group and the only member to participate in the recent 'reunion' tour for his 20 anniversary, seems to have stepped aside.

At least that's how their website announces it:
"Billy Corgan, guitarist, singer, songwriter and founding member of the Smashing Pumpkins, has announced that drummer Jimmy Chamberlin has left the group.
Chamberlin joined the band founded by Corgan in 1988 and has played on all their records except Adore (1998).
Corgan will continue to compose and record under the name Smashing Pumpkins, and plans to enter the studios this coming spring.
".

Billy Corgan I had already advanced something about it a few months ago. In addition, the group noted many signs of stress in their most recent presentations, so this news is not too surprising.
