The original illustration that defines the mythical English band, that is, the logo of the lips and tongue, has recently been purchased by the London museum Victoria And Albert.
It has transpired that in the auction that took place last week in United States, this item was sold by $92500 and which currently resides in the aforementioned museum.
This image was designed by an art student named John pasche en 1970, after Jagger and company will not be happy with the designs provided by their own label, Decca.
pasche only received $50 for him and then some royalties that amounted to $200 en 1972. This young artist became so famous that he came to work with luminaries of the stature of Paul McCartney, The Who y The stranglers, among others.
