"The Rolling Stones In Mono": A Reissue Like Never Before

The Rolling Stones In Mono

'The Rolling Stones In Mono' will be released soon, a vast retrospective that captures the earliest recordings made by the Rolling Stones at the beginning of their recording career.

These recordings have been specially remastered to be included in a collector's box (boxset) that will be released next September: 'The Rolling Stones In Mono'. This box takes a record tour of the early days of the Stones' work, beginning with their self-titled debut album 'The Rolling Stone' from April 1964.

According to the press release, albums from the first decade of the Stones' recording history have been remastered again with unprecedented fidelity and from their own original sources of monophonic sound. The boxset contains historic records including key recordings from both North American and British versions of its original catalog from the early 1960s. All recordings have been remastered at the legendary London Abbey Road studio, under the supervision of the sound engineer. Sean Magee. The 180 gram vinyl print was specially made by the Czech company GZ Media.

As an addition, the new compilation brings together, in addition to the albums, an unreleased album called 'Stray Cats' that compiles singles of B-sides and rarities from the time of the ABKCO Records label., which have been fully restored in monophonic sound for the first time in history. The compilation 'Stray Cats' is available exclusively in the boxset and is presented on vinyl printed on 2 LPs.

The collection 'The Rolling Stones In Mono' will go on sale next September 30 in two boxset formats: one will contain a 15-CD set and the other will feature a 16-LP vinyl box, both in limited editions. The single albums of these mono versions will be reissued on CD and vinyl at a date to be confirmed during 2017.
