As you know, the singer was photographed while recording the video for “obsessed" -on New York- with an outfit very similar to the one the famous rapper wears: right away it began to speculate that in this way he would plan 'return the compliments'which he received in the song "bagpipes from Baghdad".
However, the husband of Mariah Carey came out to say that this is not true:
"I don't think what happened is so important that she wastes her time. My wife is on another level… she doesn't usually react to this kind of thing.
To be honest, she made this song because she is a fan of the movie 'Mean Girls'… and in it there is a scene where a girl says something like 'Why are you so obsessed with me?'…".
"Mariah says the same thing at the beginning of the song and that's where the whole idea of recording it was born. But, as you know, art has a lot to do with life"He added.
