The new film by the French director Luc Besson called «The Lady»And we can already see the first advance. The film stars Michelle yeoh like activist Aung San Suu Kyi and David thewlis (Harry Potter) as her husband Michael Aris.
The film is based on real events and tells the story of Aung San Suu Kyi, the activist who created a pro-democracy movement in Burma with her husband, Tibetan expert Michael Aris.
The woman was placed in house arrest in 1989 for leading the opposition against her country's dictatorship and received the Nobel Peace Prize while still under arrest. The military dictatorship continues in Burma and women remain the main opposition figure.
