Lovers of graphic novels of quality are in luck! Not long ago 20th Century Fox announced that it will bring to the big screen the Eisner award-winning novel, «Mouse Guard » by David Petersen.

It looks like Matt Reeves will direct of this film that will have the same time of cinematographic treatment that Jon Favreau's 'The Jungle Book' has had, that is, a mixture of CGI and quality real action. The film starring Mowgli, has already managed to gross 936 million dollars at the world box office. The formula works very well.

The director of 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' will work side by side with the screenwriter Gary Whitta so that this bet does not remain in a simple good intention. David Petersen did an excellent job, hence Fox set his sights on this work of art for many, published by BOOM! Studios.

The graphic novel, which stars a brotherhood of medieval mice that protect the most needy, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, and has already sold almost a million copies and has been translated into ten languages. The main saga consists of three volumes, although there are three others for a spin-off called "Mouse Guard: Legend of Guard", and even an RPG and a new series to be published during the next year, called "The Weasel War ».

At the moment we do not have more news about the adaptation. We will have to be very attentive to the news.
