It will be held between the next days 18 and 26 November and will do so within the framework of that word that we are hearing so much and reading in the different media, austerity. For this, it has a budget of about 858.000 euros, 55.000 euros less than last year.

Asturias Forum, ruling party Gijón In the minority since the last elections, it wants to keep this festival within the cultural programming of the city, which for many is too modern and for "spectators" but which is far from that topic.

With work, good work and almost half a century of history, this festival has become a benchmark not only nationally but also internationally and the different productions that come from all corners of the world attest to this to make Gijón the capital of cinema for just over a week.
