The evolution of La Unión ... towards reggeaton

The Union

Gone is that "If your girlfriend leaves, you fuck yourself." Now they have changed and have new projects. His motto is to evolve and not stand still. For this reason, 'La Unión', Rafa Sánchez, Luis Bolín and Mario Martínez, in their maturity, have passed from a group very well cared for by multinationals, to seek their independence in the heat of the network.

Tired but with the energy that characterizes them, Rafa Sánches, Luis Bolín and Mario Martínez maintain the illusion to continue creating musical content.

In Mexican lands they have shown that La Unión is not finished as a group, and there is still much more to tell. To do so, they will continue to seek a niche in the current dispersed musical scene, and emerge as a modern and innovative "indie" group. Have desire to battle, to continue showing up, even in small rooms, but with new sounds, reinventing themselves over and over again.

A more important appointment also awaits them, such as the next July 25 at the Vicente Calderón stadium. With their two volumes of "Hip-Gnosis" they created their own music label. It was 2013 and again they were evolving towards different things.

They themselves claim to be the only Spanish band from the 80's that is still active in Mexico (where Spanish rock was banned at one time). They claim to maintain a commitment to music and to create new things, what they call mobility in styles. They put David Bowie as an example in that, in the ability to reinvent himself. In this new path they affirm that… they will. That your music will sound like reggeaton.

Are proud of their 30-record career, the result of a unique historical trajectory, unrepeatable in the variables that surround current Spanish music.

We are looking forward to hearing their music again, attending their recitals and vibrating with them again, and remembering a time that we do not want to forget.
