The Beatles, up for auction

beatles rarity

In the next few weeks it will come out A vinyl of the Beatles is up for auction, considered a rarity and abandoned in an attic for fifty years. The auction will take place in Warrington, northwest England on March 22 for the Omega house. The figure that is expected to be exceeded by the album is 12.000 euros.

This vinyl was the first to be edited by the Liverpool band, before the contract they signed in 1962 with EMI, which would launch them to worldwide fame. Among the songs included are "Till There Was You" and "Hello Little Girl".

In a review of the history of this album, in 1963, the representative of the band, Brian Epstein, gave the vinyl to the keyboardist of Gerry and The Pacemakers, who has saved wrapped in paper this oddity in the attic of his home in Merseyside, in the north of England, for the past fifty years.

The disc has been considered an exclusive piece, a true relic. Although many years have already passed, the album still contains the handwritten strokes of Brian Epstein, who wanted to put on record that the authorship of all the songs included on the vinyl belonged to Paul McCartney and The Beatles.

The Omega Auctions house takes place every year specialized auctions. Collecting has been revalued in recent years. For example, this well-known house not long ago auctioned different objects by Alan Wilder, formerly of Depeche Mode, as well as others by Porl Thompson, of the group The Cure.

In celebration of the launch of “Can´t buy me love”, on March 20, 1964, Omega Auctions organizes every year on that date monographic auctions of the Liverpool band. For example, last year George Harrison's jacket from "Help" was auctioned.
