Four years after his last job, 'Not Your Kind of People', Garbage celebrates its two decades of career with the release of a new album entitled 'Strange Little Birds', his sixth studio work, which was released last Friday (June 10) and released through his own label, Stunvolume.

'Strange Little Birds' is available to listen to in its entirety through streaming platforms such as Spotify. Garbage's brand new album is made up of 11 songs, and the first advances of it were known through the singles 'Empty' and 'Even Though Our Love Is Doomed'.

Singer Shirley Manson announced a few weeks ago that 'Strange Little Birds' "It's a more atmospheric, more cinematic album" than the previous works of the British-American band: «I feel like this is a much darker album. We are still impressed that we can still make music with this energy, and that we stick together 20 years later… this is like a miracle »Manson told reporters recently.

The mythical musician of the group Butch Vig, famous for being the producer of 'Nevermind' (Nirvana), the album that turned the 90s upside down, also recently gave his opinion on the changes in technologies that emerged between 'Strange Little Birds' and his debut album 20 years ago, and highlights the coincidences between the two.

Butch Vig stated to the press: «I think the similarities that we had between this and our debut album have been the desire to experiment. In truth, on our debut album we didn't really know where to aim, and we didn't feel the pressure of popularity. At that time our work sounded innovative, nobody was mixing those musical genres, recording them like that and seeing how everything turned out. In 'Strange Little Birds' we have also experimented, we change instruments, I played guitar and keyboards, while Duke (Erikson) and Steve (Marker) played drums, for example. We changed roles and that has been refreshing for us ».

Garbage has already released the dates of their European tour, in which they will present 'Strange Little Birds' in the cities of Munich, Amsterdam or London, among others. Although they have not confirmed dates in Spain, Some of the new material will be able to be heard live on June 16, at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.
