"Starboy", the long-awaited The Weekend album now on sale

This Friday (25) the Canadian singer The Weeknd premiered his new album 'Starboy' around the world. This is the third studio album that precedes the hit 'Beauty Behind the Madness', a work that won a Grammy in the Best Contemporary Urban Album category in February 2016.

'Starboy' is available from today in digital format. What's New The Weeknd has been released on the singer's label XO and distributed via Republic Records (Universal Music). This new album includes 18 unreleased tracks and has the collaboration of important figures such as Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar and rapper Future.

On September 22, The Weeknd (also known as Abel Tesfaye) released in physical and digital format the first single that gives its name to the album, 'Starboy', a song that includes the participation of the electronic duo Daft Punk. The promotional video for this song was released at the end of September. A few days later the first promo track was released, 'False Alarm', and on November 17 two more promo tracks were released: 'Party Monster' and 'I Feel It Coming'.

As part of the promotional campaign for the new album, this week the musician premiered a 12-minute short entitled 'Mania' (MANIA), a work directed by Grant Singer, a director who also participated in the direction of the video 'Starboy'. The short takes a tour of the main themes of the album: 'All I Know' with Future, 'Sidewalks' with Kendrick Lamar, 'Secrets', 'Die for You', 'Party Monster' (with voices by Lana Del Rey) or 'I Feel It Coming', also with the collaboration of Daft Punk. The Weeknd recently announced 'Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour', the singer's first promotional tour around the world..

The Weeknd will soon participate as a guest in the Victoria's Secret show, performing on the same catwalk where the most famous supermodels of the moment will parade, including his girlfriend, Bella Hadid. This event will also feature presentations by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, a show that will take place on November 30 in the city of Paris.
