Springsteen, to the rhythm of the conga

Springsteen, to the rhythm of the conga

The conga… the Boss… is coming… walking. Everything happened at a concert Springsteen gave at the AccorHotels Arena de Bercy in Paris. The reason? An untimely power outage was the cause that the E. Street Band, commanded by the Boss, had to manage to entertain the audience for 20 minutes.

Possibly in another concert, in another place, and especially with another artist on stage, the power cut would have been a bad taste in the mouth, and the stage would have been empty until the light returned. But with Springsteen the party continued.

Throughout the unexpected break Springsteen was entertaining the entire audience signing autographs, talking to fans closest to the stage, playing bareback on acoustic and even, the funniest thing, doing an improvised conga with his band members.

During the show, Bruce did among many others 'Born To Run', 'The River', 'Badlands', or the wonderful 'Thunder Road'.

As a final touch, when the lights returned, Springsteen and his band launched into play his 1984 hit, "Dancing In The Dark." A true display of humor, professionalism and know-how.

Springsteen proved once again to be a great composer and performer, but also a huge entertainer, adapted to all kinds of situations, and fully integrated with its people, in any circumstance.

Let's remember his time in Madrid very recently at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The Boss returned to Madrid after passing through Barcelona and San Sebastián and Lisbon at the start of his European tour, "The River Tour", in which pays tribute to one of his most important albums.

The Bosss concerts are a surprise in terms of their content, the repertoire that Springsteen displays every night is a real unknown, in which songs from all eras, rarities and versions appear. Something that is only possible thanks to the support of The E-Street Band, the best rock band on the planet, which supports the unstoppable rhythm of its leader and provides him with an impressive musical support.
