Since the beginning of October Sony Music has launched an application in Spain under the name of 'Album of the Day' for iPhone and iPad, app that offers special offers and discounts on the entire Sony record catalog. The Album of the Day application is free to download and will allow music lovers to instantly access the catalogs of artists they know and admire to enjoy interesting discounts (for a limited time) on digital downloads of their albums. 'Album of the Day' surprises its users daily with unique offers, offering the opportunity to discover a selection of great albums at incredible prices.
The first selection of artists in the app is now available for Spain and includes music legends such as Simon & Garfunkel, Amaia Montero, Maldita Nerea, Santana, Malú, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen, La Oreja De Van Gogh, Kings of Leon, P! nk, Bob Dylan, Lauryn Hill, The Script, Usher, Meat Loaf, Dani Martín, Sade, Leiva, Alicia Keys and many more.
The Album of the Day app was originally developed by Sony Music Germany and launched in this country in March 2014 with a very good impact in a few months. From its release until July, Sony Music Germany has seen albums released through its app go straight to the iTunes charts. Albums by top-notch artists like Kings of Leon, Whitney Houston, P! Nk, Pitbull, Johnny Cash, and many others topped the iTunes charts daily.
