Sony Music and the administrators of the patrimony of Michael Jackson have closed the biggest contract in the history of music: nothing less than 200 million for ten projects linked to the deceased singer.
Those projects will consist of an album with hitherto unpublished songs, DVD's and video games. «We and Sony feel that the future of Michael Jackson is limitless"Said John Branca, one of the administrators of the artist's legacy.
Around 60 unreleased tracks exist from Jackson. «The first album will have about ten songs, some of it is very recent material and there are other older songs that deserve to be shared with Michael's fans.«.
«Sound rights cover different projects«, Commented from Sony. «There may be theater. There may be movies. There may be video games or multimedia platforms that I do not know today but that will exist in 2015«.
