Sony won't get rid of Spiderman

Much had been said during these days about Marvel's interest in taking over the rights to Spiderman to add it to their blockbusters but everything indicates that it will not be possible since Sony has repeated that they are not willing to sell the rights.

Amy Pascal, a company director, has confirmed to different media that there is no deal and that the operation that Marvel is looking for will never be carried out. He also wanted to remember that they will never, but never ever sell the rights to Spiderman.

Sony's position is more than reasonable given that the films of this superhero have made a box office of more than 2.500 million euros, something for which Sony does not want to lose its goose that lays the golden eggs.

From Marvel now they must be pulling their hairs since those who have the rights to both Spiderman, Fantastic Four and the X-men are Sony and 20th Century Fox, sold by Marvel when it was going through serious financial difficulties.
