Sitges 2015: Review of 'I Am a Hero'

I Am a Hero

We cannot deny that Shinsuke Sato's 'I Am a Hero' is hilarious, which has led her to win the audience award at the Sitges Festival, we cannot ignore the great work of special effects, which have earned her the award in this category in the Catalan contest, but despite all this' I Am to Hero ' it's far from being a great tape.

The film appears to be a great adaptation of the original manga, although it is faithful to the work of Hanazawa Kengo does not mean that we are facing a great script. And it is that the film is very predictable and does not move away from any chapter of the series 'The Walking Dead' or any zombie movie to use.

Is saved by having a great dose of humor that almost does not decline throughout the film, perhaps a little in its central part, the great jokes, always supported by special effectsA good example of this is the high-jumping zombie, or the sequence of the first act between the protagonist and the one who until then had been his partner already turned into a zombie. All this means that the film does not end up suspending.

In short, 'I Am a Hero' is a good film to pass the time with laughter but little else.

Rating: 5 / 10
