The best of the sequels that I have seen in children's animation (and not so much) until today. No low blows, no melodramatic songs, purely green, purely ogre, purely Shrek.
And for all lovers, like me, of this great ogre and his family, an announcement that is coming our way Shrek 4. Its premiere is announced for the 2010. So today, as 2008 is just ending, we can be sure that the artists are just beginning to produce the film.
What is known about the film is that it will be about how Fiona and Shrek, along with Burro, adapt to the paternity achieved in the third of the films already released. Having, at the same time, to face new dangers, and new villains.
The cast will be the same as in the previous Films, with Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, and Antonio Banderas. Directed this time by Mike Mitchell, with a screenplay by Tim Sullivan and Josh Klausner.
One of the versions that go around the network is that by Tom Cruise would join the voice cast of the film, playing one of the villains who will oppose, in some extravagant way, Shrek and his friends.
For now, nothing else is known about the marvelous saga, other than the tentative release date: May 21, 2010. It only remains to wait impatiently, and growing greenery, for the arrival of our beloved ogre.
