Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, The Cure, Barry Gibb, Jeff Lynne, Roger Daltrey, Brian Wilson, Ian McCulloch and Yusuf Islam, are some of the great figures who participated in "The Art of McCartney", the Paul McCartney tribute album that will be released next Tuesday, November 18.
The new tribute album will bring together a total of 34 songs that cover the great successes of the popular musician in his time with The Beatles, Wings and his own solo career. Covers included on the album include "Things We Said Today" (by Dylan), "Wanderlust" (by Brian Wilson), "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Live and Let Die" (by Billy Joel ), “When I'm 64? (by Barry Gibb), "Venus and Mars" / "Rock Show" (by Kiss), "Eleanor Rigby" (by Alice Cooper) and "Helter Skelter" (by Roger Daltrey).
The compiled will be published in digital format, 34-song CD, vinyl and a deluxe edition which will include 42 tracks, a documentary about the project and a USB stick in the shape of McCartney's bass Hofner. Ralph Sall, the producer in charge of the album, had the idea for this project working with McCartney on the soundtrack of the movie 'In-laws' more than a decade ago.
