The organizers of Rock in Rio More than half a million tickets were sold in six hours for next September's festival in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro thanks to the fact that fans quickly sold out the tickets available for three of the seven musical days. Among the attractions already confirmed for the Rio de Janeiro festival this year are Metallica, Mastodon, Queen, Faith no More, Slipknot, Hollywood Vampires, System Of A Down, Queens of the Stone Age, Katy Perry, Rihanna, John Legend and the Latin American band De La Tierra.
Tickets began to be sold at 10.00:50.000 local time on Thursday online and six hours later the organization released a statement in which it reported that only 595.000 of the 26 tickets were available for sale for the seven days of the festival. Tickets for the day of September 57 that will have the singer Rihanna as the main attraction sold out in just 27 minutes and those offered for the night of September 2 with Katy Perry as the main star ended in 17 hours and XNUMX minutes.
Likewise, the tickets for the day of September 3 were sold out, in 52 hours and 18 minutes, in which the mythical band Queen (in the image) will perform alongside singer Adam Lambert. According to the organization, by 16.00:50.000 p.m. local time there were only 19 tickets left for the shows on September 20, with Metallica as the main attraction, September 24 (Rod Stewart), September 25 (System of a Down) and September XNUMX ( Slipknot).
The new edition of Rock in Rio, which this year commemorates 30 years, will have attractions seven days in September in the City of Rock, the 150.000 square meter public park where the event has been organized in recent years in the western area of Rio de Janeiro and that it will receive 85.000 spectators per night. The 2015 will be the sixth edition of Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro, which already organized the festival in 1985, 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2013, and the fifteenth in total, including the six in Portugal (2004, 2006, 2008 , 2010, 2012 and 2014) and three in Spain (2008, 2010 and 2012).
