The festival Rock in Rio, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, makes its US debut today with a mix of styles and genres for which more than 110.000 tickets have been sold. Mana, Metallica (in the image), No Doubt, Rise Against, Linkin Park, Deftones and Sepultura are, among others, the great attractions of the lineup for the first weekend, oriented to rock, which suffers the last minute withdrawal of the band Bleachers.

The first to go on stage tonight will be members of the Circo del Sol, who will offer an inaugural aerobatics show made up of more than 30 artists. The staging will last 15 minutes which will provide a 'colorful' welcome to the show's attendees. "It's great to merge the talent of Circo del Sol artists from all of our shows in Las Vegas into this iconic event," said Sandi Croft, Artistic Director of the group's performance.

Let us remember that the organizers of the Rock in Rio sold more than half a million tickets for the September festival in six hours next in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro thanks to the fact that the fans sold out in a short time the tickets available for three of the seven musical days a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, it will be the turn, both on the main stage and on the alternative stage -called Mercedes Benz Evolution Stage- for Smallpools, The Pretty Reckless, Gary Clark Jr., Foster the People, Maná and, finally, No Doubt, around midnight. Saturday will be the time for Hollywood Undead, Of Mice & Men, Coheed & Cambria, Sepultura and Steve Vai, Deftones, Rise Against, Linkin Park and Metallica, among others. In total, between this weekend and the next, the contest will host more than 100 performances over four days.
