Robert Zemeckis, the creator of fantastic adventures as Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Forrest Gump, will partner with the animated giant Disney to produce the new factory project: Mars Needs Moms.

The film will be directed by Simon Wells, who is already working on the production phase, and will star Seth Green. Mars Needs Moms is a children's novel, notably illustrated by Berkeley Breathed, which tells the life of little Milo, who travels in a spaceship to rescue his mother from the clutches of the aliens who kidnapped her.

The cast is completed with Mindy Sterling as the alien leader, Dan Fogler as Gribble (Milo's friend) and Joan Cusack as Milo's mother. The script was written by the director, in collaboration with Wendy Wells and in addition Zemeckis, will be producing Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey.

Meanwhile Zemeckis he is doomed to his latest project, A Christmas Carol, with Jim Carrey in the leading role, which is scheduled for release in November of this year
