The director of Alien could shoot in Ciudad de la Luz
The british director Ridley Scott He has visited the province of Alicante in search of locations for his next two films, one of them entitled 'The Counselor' -'The Counselor'- starring Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem and Cameron Díaz.
Scott -who will premiere 'Prometheus' on June 8 this year- He visited the province of Alicante for three days accompanied by two people from the team, looking for locations for the filming of 'The Counselor' and a second film, whose title is yet to be determined, and which could have Spanish actors in its cast. If decided, filming for the two productions would take place later this summer.
The filmmaker already had "good references" from Alicante's Ciudad de la Luz studios. "The Counselor" is based on the original screenplay by Cormac McCarthy, the Pulitzer-winning writer and author of "No Country for Old Men," and is a drug drama set on the US-Mexico border. It tells the story of a young lawyer (Fassbender) who goes through financial difficulties and decides to enter the world of drugs eventually to try to get quick and easy money dealing in cocaine.
There he will partner with an old friend with wealth (Bardem) and a dark and shady guy (Pitt). But the business will not go as planned and things will be "tough, violent and scathing."
