Rich Ross resigns after John Carter's failure

Rich ross, until now vice president of Walt Disney Studios, has submitted his resignation letter, which analysts say was forced by company executives after the film's tremendous box office failure John Carter.

Ross himself sent the company's workers a letter informing about the decision he had made, something very difficult, but from that moment he ceased as the study's top executive.

This withdrawal was made immediately and Disney still does not know who will be his replacement. The production cost of the film was 190 million euros and after a month and a half in theaters it only grossed 51 million euros in the United States.

But in the rest of the world, international distribution managed to save the red numbers. As Ross said: "I just think the position of president fits me professionally." For his part, Bob Iger, CEO of Walt Disney Company, wished the former executive great success in the future.
