Radiohead, the British alternative rock band led by Thom Yorke, has published the list of countries and dates for their new world tour: 'WASTE'. Some of these dates had already been available for a while, such as Primavera Sound in Barcelona, but it was yesterday that the band released the complete list of countries.
Radiohead's 'WASTE' tour kicks off on May 20 in Amsterdam (2 dates), to continue in Paris (2 dates), London (3 dates), Lyon, Barcelona, Reykjavik, St. Gallen, Lisbon, New York (2 dates), Montreal, Los Angeles (2 dates), Osaka, Tokyo, Berlin and ending in Mexico (2 dates). Tickets for festivals, such as Primavera Sound or Nos Alive (Lisbon) are already on sale. For the other dates the sale of tickets will begin tomorrow, as is the case in Mexico; on March 18 for Amsterdam, Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles, and on March 30 for the Lyon concert.
Radiohead's 'WASTE' tour announcement has been accompanied by an image that many are beginning to speculate may be the cover of their next album. Five years have passed since his last work, 'The King of Limbs (2011), although it is true that this of the long intervals between records has been something that we have already been experiencing with his last three albums.
Little is known about this new album, still without title or release date; just a few statements by Johnny Greenwood, guitarist of the band, in which he had no choice but to click the balloon of his fans when explaining that, due to a bad translation of a Russian radio program that confirmed that the new work of Radiohead was already finished, what they actually said was that they had already recorded a lot of material and that they were close to finishing, but not that everything was ready.
