Radiohead commercial failure

After the promoted strategy of sale of Radiohead of his new album 'in Rainbows', where buyers put the price they wanted to pay to have the work in digital form, it was learned that after 25 days, 62% of those who downloaded it did not pay anything in return.

The album was downloaded by more than a million people from the official website, but 3 out of 5 did not leave money in exchange. That's why they say that the idea turned out to be a commercial failure, because in the calculations of the band it was raising 8,3 dollars for each download, and they only obtained 5,8.

As a curious fact, 52% of the total collection came from the contribution of 12% of Internet users. But there is revenge; in December the British group will release 'In Rainbows' on CD, at old way.
