Queen: 'Live At The Rainbow' 74 ', A Collector's Record

Virgin Records and Eagle Rock Entertainment just released the DVD 'Queen: Live At The Rainbow '74', a material that is also available in CD, LP and blu-ray format. Sunday March 31, 1974 was an emblematic date in the history of rock music and shora is celebrated in a multi-format release of a rare record, held at the legendary London venue The Rainbow, of a concert by a then emerging band call Queen.

Among the unique material contained in this release are more than a dozen previously unreleased tracks on an official live album from Queen. That show was recorded by Roy Thomas Baker, co-producer of Queen's first four studio albums, and was slated to be the band's third album (and debut live album) - a defining release in their career, destined to To be a record that captured the magic of a live band at full steam, 'Queen: Live at the Rainbow' 74 'would have been a huge success without a doubt.

But Queen's fierce creative drive produced a pile of new songs begging to be recorded, and instead of releasing the album live, the band entered the studio to record what would become the album that paved the way for them in 1974. 'Sheer Heart Attack'. As a result of this, the already completed Rainbow Live album was drafted and relegated to the archives until today.
