Prize for Sylvester Stallones at the Venice Film Festival

Yes, I admit it. Sylvester Stallone he was my favorite actor when I was a kid for movies like Rocky, FIST and Cornered. And you deny me that you have not been excited a thousand times watching Rocky, which, by the way, Stallone himself wrote the script.

So when I found out that Sylvester Stallone to receive the Gloria Jaeger-LeCoultre Award at the 66th Venice International Film Festival, for his contribution and mark on the cinematographic universe, I have been happy for this veteran actor who deserves an award like this because, despite the criticism, he is part of the history of cinema.

Stallone himself, upon hearing the news, said: "Being awarded at the Venice Film Festival is something that I have always hoped would come true, and now that it has happened I have to say that it was worth the wait."

Although in the 90s and early 2000s he made practically no interesting films, except Copland, it must be recognized that his latest forays bringing his fetish characters, Rocky and Rambo back to life, have restored him to his old status as star and is preparing a new action movie entitled The Expendables where he has brought together almost all the action actors of the last twenty years.

In addition, he will take advantage of his time at the Venice Film Festival to present the first images of his new film.
